Right-back Connor Randall has been named in Liverpool’s 25-man Premier League squad for the rest of the season.

Manager Jurgen Klopp had a space to fill following Nathaniel Clyne’s loan move to Bournemouth, and the 23-year-old homegrown full-back has now been included despite not having appeared for the Reds for almost three years.

Randall spent last season on loan at Hearts and the first half of this campaign at Rochdale, but with Joe Gomez’s return date still unclear and Trent Alexander-Arnold still returning to full fitness, there is a small chance of seeing Randall appear once more for his hometown club.

We’re not holding our breath too much though: Jordan Henderson, James Milner, and even Roberto Firmino have already taken their turn filling in at right-back, with Fabinho also capable of performing the role.
