The duo may not be playing together on the field anymore, but they got together once more to have a little fun with the Barca defender

Lionel Messi and Neymar may no longer be team-mates on the field, but off it, they combined once more to poke a little fun at Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.

Neymar famously left Barca after Paris Saint-Germain paid his €222 million release clause earlier this summer.

There was plenty of question before the Brazilian’s departure of whether he would stay or go, with Barcelona fears temporarily calmed by Pique tweeting “He stays” after meeting with Neymar.

That tweet turned out to be premature in hindsight, and Messi decided to have a bit of fun with his team-mate over it Tuesday.

Messi took a picture alongside Neymar and Luis Suarez, temporarily re-uniting the fabled MSN trio with a caption that roughly translates to “he returns.”

Later Neymar got in on the action with a picture of himself and Pique with the infamous words “Se queda” or “He stays.”

But it appears to be all in good fun, as Neymar later posted a shot of him alongside Suarez, Messi, Pique, Ivan Rakatic, Douglas and former Barca full-back and currentPSG team-mate Dani Alves with the caption “Amigos.”

There certainly does not look to be any hard feelings between Barca’s big stars and Neymar. Of course, the same cannot be said for Barcelona’s board, which is suing the Brazilian star for breach of contract.
