The Angers midfielder tied up a 2-0 victory for his side against Amiens with an outstanding chipped shot from long distance on Saturday
Thomas Mangani sealed a 2-0 victory for Angers over Amiens on Saturday with an inch-perfect long-range lob reminiscent of Memphis Depay’s similar effort last season.
Angers were already a goal to the good when the midfielder pounced on a clearance by the opposition goalkeeper before hooking a shot in between the crossbar and the head of a desperate defender.
In March of the 2016-17 campaign, Lyon star Memphis hit the headlines with a similar goal – though the Dutchman’s was from even further out.
