The Brazilian had just picked up his first booking of the night when he decided to confront a defender who has just fouled him

Neymar was sent off for Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday after picking up a second booking in a matter of minutes against Marseille.

Having picked up his first card for dissent in the 85th minute, the Brazilian reacted poorly to a foul from Lucas Ocampos, who’s theatrical dive earned PSG’s record signing an early shower.

The red card to Neymar made him the first scorer to be sent off in a league match between PSG and Marseille in 25 years, with the Brazilian having equalised Luiz Gustavo’s opener in the first half.

Despite the drama with Neymar, PSG were bailed out with a late strike from Edinson Cavani, who netted a brilliant free-kick to earn his side a 2-2 draw.

The draw was just the second blemish on the Parisiens’s record for the season, and Unai Emery’s side still sit comfortably atop the Ligue 1 table.
