If you’re freely swiping the company card to get to your next appointment, you had better be careful not to follow Omarosa’s footsteps.
In December, former Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison Omarosa Manigault Newman reportedly exited the White House in a dramatic fashion fit for reality TV. She technically resigned, and White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders shared more details in a statement. “Omarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities. Her departure will not be effective until January 20, 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service,” it read.

But soon after, reporter April Ryan shared several tweets that painted a picture of Manigault Newman literally being escorted off the White House property. In summary, there was drama, and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly reportedly made the final decision to let her go.
Now, we’re learning what really happened. According to Politico, Omarosa was reportedly let go for an unexpected reason: abusing the car service. The report states that Manigault Newman had been using the White House car service known as “CARPET” to get picked up and dropped off to the office, which is forbidden by the federal government.

The outlet adds that she tried to “storm the White House residence” after her dismissal, and she tripped on an electronic Secret Service wire that monitors who comes in and out. Politico previously reported that Manigault Newman had also ruffled Kelly’s feathers when she brought people from her bridal party to the White House for a wedding photo shoot.
Most recently, Manigault Newman told her Celebrity Big Brother co-stars—yep, she’s back on TV—that it’s Vice President Mike Pence whom Americans should fear more than some do Trump. “Can I just say this? As bad as ya’ll think Trump is, you would be worried about Pence,” she said. “We would be begging for days of Trump back if Pence became President, that’s all I’m saying. He’s extreme.”
Manigault Newman also remained in headlines on Monday, when British journalist Piers Morgan took to Twitter to claim she offered him sex in exchange for winning Celebrity Apprentice.
Of course, Omarosa is best known for starring alongside Donald Trump in The Apprentice.
