West Ham will make an attempt to bring in David Moyes as their new manager if they sack Manuel Pellegrini, according to reports.
The Hammers put in a poor display as they lost 3-2 at home to Tottenham in Jose Mourinho’s first match in charge of the visitors.
Pellegrini’s side have picked up two points from a possible 21 in the last seven Premier League matches, while they also lost 4-0 to Oxford United in the League Cup at the beginning of that poor run.
West Ham‘s last victory was a 2-0 win over Manchester United on September 22, with Chelsea, Wolves, Arsenal, Southampton and Liverpool providing a tricky next five fixtures.

A report yesterday claimed that the Hammers hierarchy ‘do not want to sack Pellegrini’ if they can help it but ‘warned’ the Chilean ‘that results have got to improve’ in ‘crisis talks’ on Monday.
And now The Sun claims both Everton and West Ham are ‘eyeing up’ Moyes ‘to replace their under-fire coaches’.
The report adds that Moyes ‘would be happy to listen to the Hammers and move back to London’ with West Ham ‘ready to challenge Everton’ for the Scotsman.
Following Everton’s 2-0 home defeat to then-bottom side Norwich on Saturday there has been speculation Marco Silva‘s job was under threat with some reports suggesting he could be sacked before the weekend.
However, it is now understood that Silva will remain in charge of the Toffees until at least the Leicester City match this weekend.
Moyes, meanwhile, has been out of work since he was in temporary charge of West Ham during the 2017-18 season.
