Nuno Espirito Santo hailed Wolves for an ‘almost perfect’ performance in their loss to Tottenham.
Wolves looked to be on course to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions, but Jan Vertonghen scored a late winner for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Mourinho was full of praise for Wolves in his post-match interviews, highlighting their “quality, conditions and ambitions”.
And compatriot Nuno was also pleased with what he saw from his side, even if the result wasn’t the one they wanted.
“Of course I’m pleased with the performance,” he told BBC Sport. “We played very good.
“We weren’t perfect, almost. We should have defended better. We played well and created chances. I’m very pleased with the boys.
“Today we did what we wanted – with mistakes in both areas. It was a tough game.
“Spurs are a very good team. We broke them many times. Let’s work on the final touch to make these chances goals.
“The final moments require a lot of focus. A corner, we must stay in the game until the end. We were more obsessed about scoring than defending.
“Adama Traore is progressing, improving. He’s tried to improve all aspects in his game. He’s still got a long way to go.”
