Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been slammed as “totally out of order” for his response to a Joe Willock mistake.

Aubameyang, appointed Arsenal captain after Granit Xhaka was removed from the role, was powerless as the Gunners slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Brighton – their ninth game without a win.

One moment saw the Gabon international reprimand youngster Willock for losing the ball when he was in a promising position, with Tony Cascarino criticising the senior player.

“There was an incident with Willock on Thursday night where he takes a bit of stick from Aubameyang, which I thought was totally out of order,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.

“Where he has looked for a pass, Aubameyang has gone to make a run, he has given the ball away and Aubaymeyang has berated him. A young kid coming into the game. I thought it was totally out of order.

“You had that incident and at the end of the game, you have got Ozil trying to talk to Lacazette and Lacazette just gives him the ‘pfft’.

“There’s a lot on the football field, I don’t like.”
