Manchester United staff and players are convinced that Paul Pogba has played his last game for the club, according to a report.

Pogba has been sidelined for much of the season with an ankle injury, with his last appearance coming against Arsenal on September 30.

The Frenchman has spent the intervening weeks either rehabilitating or discussing his future; Real Madrid are still thought to harbour an interest heading into the January transfer window.

Rumours over his future at Man Utd gained momentum earlier this week when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claimed an “illness” has “set him back quite a bit” in his return.

Solskjaer’s comments, made on Sunday, came after a video emerged of him dancing at his brother’s wedding on Friday.

There has been criticism of the midfielder – because Twitter is an absolute cesspit – as a result. Because dancing to Spice Girls is the same as an elite, high-level, 90-minute football match.

BBC’s Simon Stone says Pogba was given permission by United to attend the wedding, before the illness was diagnosed on Saturday and worsened by Sunday.

However, despite Solskjaer’s comment that he will be back playing again soon, the Daily Mirror claims that ‘players and officials are convinced Paul Pogba has played his last game for the club’.

Pogba is still ‘determined to force his way out of United’ and would ‘ideally’ like to move in January.

And there is a ‘growing belief within United’ that his l0ng-term ‘absence is a sure-fire indication’ that he will be leaving.
