Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has decided that he wants to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
A previous report has claimed the Arsenal captain leads a group of players that actively want to leave, reflecting a growing mood in the squad.
The Gunners have relied heavily on Aubameyang for goals this term with the Gabon international bagging 13 of Arsenal‘s 26 Premier League goals.
And The Times now claims that Aubameyang wants to join a team where he can play Champions League football and one that is ‘capable of winning trophies’.
The 30-year-old only has 18 months left on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium but has little interest in renewing his £200,000 a week contract.
A January exit for Aubameyang – who has been linked with Barcelona – would prove ‘difficult’ but ‘Arsenal accept that the 30-year-old will have to be sold unless he commits his future’.
The report adds that ‘fellow striker Alexandre Lacazette may also leave in the summer’ in pursuit of Champions League football.
