Jesse Lingard will start working with ‘super agent’ Mino Raiola which could put his future at Manchester United in doubt, according to reports.

The Warrington-born winger has not scored or assisted for the Red Devils in 18 Premier League appearances this season, while he has one goal in eight outings in other competitions.

The Daily Mirror on Sunday linked Lingard with a possible – and very unlikely – swap deal to Leicester City involving James Maddison coming the other way.

And now the Daily Mail claims that Lingard will link up with Raiola as the agent looks to strengthen his portfolio of English players.

The new partnership ‘is sure to raise eyebrows given Raiola’s tempestuous relationship with United’.

Reports recently claimed that United weren’t keen on dealing with Raiola as they looked to sign his client Erling Braut Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg.

The outspoken Italian agent – who also represents Man Utd star Paul Pogba – is reported to have told La Repubblica last week that he would stop sending his clients to United, saying they would “ruin” even a great player.

The Daily Mail adds: ‘United are aware that Raiola has taken charge of Lingard’s affairs, and privately accept that the development may make it more difficult to keep hold of him given their stormy relationship with the agent.’

Lingard’s link-up with Raiola ‘will raise certain questions’ about his future at United with the England international’s contract running out at the end of next season.
