-Marko Stunt, who appeared at Double or Nothing in the pre-show Battle Royale and alongside Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy for their match at Fyter Fest, announced on his birthday on Twitter that he had signed a deal with AEW. Stunts deal is a full-time deal. PWTorch had learned several weeks ago that AEW officials were confident they were going to be completing a deal in the near future. Stunt’s tweet announcing his signing can be seen below:

Radican’s Analysis: I’m a big fan of Stunt. He’s always a bright spot in the ring and he will be a lot of fun to watch being paired with Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy. His work in GCW has been a ton of fun to watch over the last year or so since he broke out at Joey Janela’s Lost in New York event last August.

-Longtime independent official Bryce Remsburg, who is most notably known for his work as the senior official in CHIKARA as well as an official in GCW and Beyond Wrestling, announced on twitter that he has signed a multi-year deal to referee and office employee.

Radican’s Analysis: Congratulations to Bryce, who I’ve watched on the indies for around 15 years. He was great in CHIKARA and I think he earned himself a contract with AEW for his performance in the Invisible Man vs. Invisible Man match at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 3 during WrestleMania weekend that blew up all over social media after it happened. I’m sure he would have gotten signed either way by AEW, but it was right after that performance that he got announced for AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV.

Remsburg has worked on the independents for so long and his story of getting a full-time contract after 17 and a half years in the business should serve as an inspiration to anyone in wrestling that’s trying to make it.

You can see Remsburg’s tweet below:

Exciting life news! As of today, August 1, 2019: I am officially under a multi-year contract to @AEWrestling, both as a referee and office employee.

As my dad remarked, "not everyone gets to live their dream" and now I am incredibly fortunate enough to be one of those few… pic.twitter.com/An6Kf9nYO6

-AEW made Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears official for All Out on Aug. 31 in the latest edition of The Road to All Out where they had a contract signing for the match. Spear’s advisor, Tully Blanchard, had it written into the contract for the match that each competitor can only have one person in their corner in the match. Dustin Rhodes announced after Fyter Fest in the press scrum that he would not be at All Out due to other obligations, so that would seem to rule him out to be in Cody’s corner.

You can watch the latest episode of The Road to All Out below:

-Several matches have been announced for AEW’s debut on TNT on Oct. 2 in Washington, DC at The Capiton One Arena. The first match on the show will be Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara. Also announced for the debut on TV is The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) vs. Chris Jericho & Two Mystery Partners. Jericho tweeted that people aren’t going to believe who he’s going to bring in to team with him.

Radican’s Analysis: I’m glad AEW is building towards the first episode of TV already even though it’s two months away. The big hook for the first episode appears to be just who will team with Chris Jericho, which will likely drive a lot of speculation for the next two months. It could be a historic moment for AEW if Jericho brings out two big names with him that haven’t appeared in AEW yet.

You can see Jericho’s tweet about the match below:

Now THIS is how you make a national television debut…..@mattjackson13, @nickjacksonyb & kennyomegamanx VS #Jericho & 2 MYSTERY PARTNERS. And trust me…you’re not gonna believe who I’m planning on bringing in!… https://t.co/0nxGW5QDbY
