The Bullet Club remains as relevant as ever these days thanks largely to The Elite. The Elite, which consists of group members Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Adam Page, Marty Scurll, and The Young Bucks have proven themselves to be six of the most popular wrestlers in the world today over the past few years. However, it has become well known that The Elite will become free agents in 2019, and while no one knows where they will end up next for sure, the group have said that they will remain together in their next endeavor. While it appears as if The Elite could be joining just about any promotion next year, it now looks like the group members will almost certainly not be staying with Ring of Honor now.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hangman Page has just declined an offer to re-sign with Ring of Honor. It was previously reported that Page turned down an offer to join WWE, but his time in ROH is coming to an end now as well. Page still continues to wrestle for New Japan Pro Wrestling for the time being. Similarly, Cody Rhodes is also now done with ROH. Rhodes will continue to wrestle for the promotion up until their Final Battle show on December 14th, but he is no longer under any sort of contract. The Young Bucks remain under contract until the end of the year while Kenny Omega will be staying with NJPW until January. Barring any sudden re-signings, the group will all become free agents in early 2019.
Impact Wrestling has garnered some attention lately due to the antics of former Impact World Champion Austin Aries. Aries is currently involved in a storyline wherein he is portraying the role of a “loose cannon.” He no-sold the finish to his match against Johnny Impact at Bound for Glory and he has been taken off of Impact programming for the foreseeable future. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Impact officials have been impressed with Aries’ performance in the role. However, officials were reportedly not pleased with Aries referring to Taya Valkyrie as “husky” without prior permission during a planned Twitter fight with Johnny Impact. Despite this, Impact is said to be “very high” on Aries as of late.
