The trial for the case against CM Punk and Colt Cabana filed by WWE doctor Chris Amann officially begun earlier this week. The trial comes after CM Punk made several remarks criticizing Amann’s practices during his time in WWE on Cabana’s podcast back in 2014. Reports from the courtroom have shown this to be a very interesting case so far as a couple of interesting messages and documents relating to Punk’s final days in WWE have been revealed during the ongoing trial. There is one small mystery that fans have been pondering for years that was just answered during the latest courtroom meeting. Fans now know what the ‘CM’ in CM Punk actually stands for.
Phil Brooks has used the CM Punk name throughout most of his time competing on the independent wrestling circuit, as well as during his time in WWE and in UFC so far. Whenever fans have asked the former WWE Champion and Money in the Bank winner what the initials in his ring name stood for, Punk would usually give differing answers. However, as Punk took the stand earlier today he revealed that his initials stand for Chick Magnet. This was confirmed by the Chicago Tribune’s Gregory Pratt who was in attendance for Punk’s testimony earlier today. Be sure to stay tuned for any additional updates on the Amann vs. Punk & Cabana lawsuit as the trial continues on over the next few days.

Here are lighter notes from this morning’s testimony:
They went thru history of Punk’s name. He confirmed “CM” stands for Chick Magnet. Remembers first promo after hitting someone w roll of coins: “All’s I’m saying is, I’ve got a lot of cents.” Amann atty won relevance objection

Long before they ever found success on their own as singles stars in wrestling, John Morrison and The Miz worked together as a tag team in WWE. The Miz has since gone on to win several championships in WWE while Morrison is a commodity on the independent wrestling circuit right now. Although it has been years since The Miz and Morrison have teamed up together in the ring, the two of them just had the chance to meet up earlier this week. The Miz, Maryse, Brian Cage, and Zack Ryder have all met with Morrison this week as the former WWE Superstars prepares to get married this weekend. Morrison will be getting married to Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground star Taya Valkyrie.
