Two title changes took place at MLW’s Kings of Colosseum event in Cicero, Illinois on Saturday night.

One of the title changes was on the live special, while the other was part of the television tapings. Jacob Fatu defeated Tom Lawlor to become the new MLW World Heavyweight Champion on the special. MJF & Richard Holliday won the MLW Tag Team titles by defeating Teddy Hart & Brian Pillman Jr. in a ladder match on the tapings.

Both title changes are part of ongoing rivalries. Lawlor has been feuding with Contra Unit (Fatu, Josef Samael & Simon Gotch) since the group formed in March, and The Hart Foundation (Davey Boy Smith Jr., Teddy Hart & Brian Pillman Jr.) have been in a program with The Dynasty (MJF, Holliday & Alexander Hammerstone).

Lawlor and The Hart Foundation had held their respective titles since MLW Superfight this February. Lawlor defeated Low Ki to win the World Heavyweight Championship at that show, and Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Teddy Hart won the Tag Team titles from Pentagon Jr. & Fenix.
