The Ultimate Deletion match between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt finally took place during Monday Night Raw this past Monday night. While opinions on the match have differed, it has received mostly positive reactions from fans and it was also the top trend on Twitter for over two hours after it aired. Furthermore, it also helped Raw maintain over 3 million viewers despite the match being in the third hour of the show as well as the overrun. WrestleZone has reported that Vince McMahon was actually expecting the match to bomb. It was reportedly not very easy to get WWE to air the match, but after the success of the Ultimate Deletion, more matches from the Hardy Compound could be on the way in the future.
One of the biggest surprises of the entire year broke yesterday when WWE revealed that their doctors have officially cleared Daniel Bryan to return to the ring. Bryan appeared on Smackdown last night and confirmed that he will be wrestling for WWE again very soon. Several WWE Superstars and fans have reacted to the news online, but Bryan’s brother in-law, John Cena, has just posted his comments on Bryan recently getting cleared by the WWE doctors. Cena stated that he admires Bryan’s dedication to get back into the ring when he told TMZSports “That young man did everything possible to challenge the word “no.” And how ironic that he’s so well know for ‘YES! YES! YES!’ He turned no into yes and he worked his ass off to make that happen.” Bryan is now expected to compete at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans this April.
Bayley is often viewed as being a fan-favorite in WWE, and she has been ever since her days of competing in NXT. However, a recent rift in the friendship between Bayley and Sasha Banks has been ongoing on WWE programming as of late, and it even looks as though Bayley could be the one to turn on Banks and then go heel. According to a new report given during the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, a heel turn for the former Raw Women’s Champion is definitely expected to take place very soon. The turn has been delayed quite a bit due to the company wanting to buildup the tension between Banks and Bayley, and the latter’s eventual heel turn, more extensively before they finally pull the trigger.
