The show starts with a video package recapping the events that took place last Monday night on Raw where Enzo talked about a conspiracy theory against him and during The Lumberjack Championship Match where he lost the title to Kalisto followed by Enzo’s new allies beating up Kalisto and Mustafa Ali after Mustafa Ali tried to save Kalisto. This segment is what set up The Tag-Team Main Event for 205 Live tonight.
Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to the show as they preview the match between Kalisto and Mustafa Ali vs. Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari for tonight as well as the match between Rich Swann and Jack Gallagher.
Enzo Amore comes out and asks Seattle if they can smell that. It’s smells like team spirit. He shouts out his team (Noam Dar, Drew Gulak, Daivari Dinero) and says that they are making Starbucks, and he is not talking about cappuccino and when he is done with Kalisto on Sunday, Kalisto is going to be in the hospital (probably the children’s hospital). Amore also says that Kalisto can settle in, hook up his wifi, pull up the WWE Network and watch The Zo Show on Tuesday. Amore then talks up how he saved 205 Live, and says the only thing the company ever did for him was hand him the microphone. His charisma and talent made him, not the fans. He runs down the fans as not having his gifts, but says that they have no choice but to accept him. Amore says that he is living on the edge, because if you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up space. And he’s never seen anyone take up space, and be so small as Kalisto.
That brings out the Kalisto to shut Amore up. After eating a kick, Amore slides out of the ring, waiting to fight later.
We get a video package recapping Jack Gallagher turning heel, joining The Brian Kendrick, and beating up Cedric Alexander. We then see the next few weeks as Alexander fights back against both Gallagher and Kendrick.
We head backstage where Cedric and Swann are being interviewed. Swann says that the numbers game is up and talks about shoving an umbrella up Gallagher’s behind and that Gallagher and Kendrick doesn’t have the numbers advantage anymore.
Rich Swann (with Cedric Alexander) vs. Jack Gallagher (with The Brian Kendrick): Gallagher tries to get in a first attack, but Swann is ready, getting in a number of strikes that Gallagher can’t handle. Gallagher bounces to the outside on one side of the ring, on the far side Kendrick yanked Swann out of the ring. Gallagher goes over to pick up his fallen opponent and tosses him back in the ring. Gallagher is in control of the match at this point. He hits a big dropkick and goes for a pin, but only gets a two count. Gallagher continues the aggressive attack by kicking Swann’s face and following up with some European uppercuts in the corner. Swann tries to answer with some of his own, but Gallagher gets a single leg takedown and slams Swann’s knees into the mat. Swann gets back into it by hitting several kicks and going for the pin, but only gets a two count. Swann tries to head up top, but Gallagher puts him on his shoulders. Swann jumps off and hits Gallagher with a tiger driver then goes for a pin, but only a two count. Swann goes for a kick, but Gallagher heads to the outside. Swann goes for a dive, but Kendrick hits him with a ring bell. Chaos breaks out as Kendrick and Gallagher go after Swann, then goes after Alexander on the outside. Winner via DQ: Rich Swann
After the match, Cedric and Swann are able to recover and attempt to flatten both of their opponents. In the ring, Swann heads up top for a phoenix splash, but Kendrick pulls Gallagher from danger. The two teams will meet this Sunday at TLC.
Drew Gulak comes out next and he says that he feels like he is our father and in creating his Drewtopia, he is trying to shelter us from top rope dives and unnecessary chanting. Since some of us aren’t following his example, he was forced to take action and he rolls the footage of himself attacking Akira Tozawa last Tuesday on 205 Live. Gulak says that what he just showed us was tough love, because people like Tozawa and his annoying “AH” chants just don’t listen and when fans chant, Gulak says that they need tough love, just like he gave to Akira, making his chants and interruptions impotent. If Tozawa had listened, he would have learned about proposal nine in the Powerpoint Presentation. Slide number 9 is revealed to be “no defying authority”. Gulak says that we call these proposals, but they are more than that. They are rules, and despite what kids may have heard on their Beastie Boys and Fresh Prince albums, rules do matter and parents do understand and on Sunday, our father will educate all of us, as on the TLC Kickoff show, we will get a special championship edition of all the slides in Gulak’s Powerpoint Presentation.
Before the main event starts, we head backstage where Kalisto says that it felt good to get his hands on Enzo and he plans to beat Enzo tonight and then just simply beat him up.
Enzo and Daivari comes out and they are ready for the main event of the night. Enzo has a mic out with him, but he hands it to Daivari for some Persian smack talk. Amore takes back the mic and says that he understood Ariya, because they speak the same language which is money and in the ring, there are two dudes, but only one word to describe them. S-A-W-F-T.
Kalisto and Mustafa Ali vs. Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari: Enzo tags out quickly to start the match as Daivari and Kalisto kick things off. Kalisto uses his speed to put Daivari down and he tags in Ali. Ali and Kalisto with some nice double teamwork on Daivari as Ali keeps it going with some big strikes. Kalisto is back in and hits Daivari with a float over senton as he gets back in the ring. Kalisto ends up getting dumped all the way to the floor and Enzo picks him up and drops his face on the barricade. Back in the ring, Kalisto continues to get beat up and Enzo continues his stomps at Kalisto in the corner. Enzo taunts Kalisto and continues his attack on Kalisto by whipping him to the ropes. Daivari pulls Kalisto down to the floor. Kalisto is getting completely destroyed, even when he gets a few strikes in, he is put right back down to the mat. The Crowd attempts to cheer Kalisto on and he finally gets a window to tag out.
Ali finally gets tagged in and goes to work on Enzo. Ali hits a rolling neck-breaker and covers Enzo, but only a two count. Enzo and Ali are both on the top and Ali gets flipped off. Enzo goes for a dropkick, but gets caught in mid-air. Kalisto gets tags in and hits a high crossbody on Enzo who nearly rolls it into a 3-count. Kalisto then hits a Salida Del Sol on Enzo and gets the win. Winners: Kalisto and Mustafa Ali
After the match, Ali and Kalisto celebrates in the ring as Enzo and Daivari watches on from outside the ring. Kalisto suddenly takes off and hits a suicide dive on both guys. Another brawl takes places between all four on the floor. Kalisto gets back in the ring and ends the show with a “Lucha!” chant.
