A SmackDown Women’s title rematch will be taking place on night one of the WWE Draft.
WWE has announced that SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will defend her title against Bayley on tonight’s SmackDown. The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada is hosting the episode.
Charlotte won the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Bayley at this past Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.
This is the second match that’s been announced for tonight’s SmackDown. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns will be the show’s opening match. It has draft implications, with Rollins representing Raw and Reigns representing SmackDown. The stipulation is that Raw will get the number one overall pick in the draft if Rollins wins, and SmackDown will get the number one pick if Reigns wins.
The draft will begin on tonight’s SmackDown and then conclude on Monday’s Raw. WWE has announced “preliminary draft pools” for nights one and two, which are lists of wrestlers eligible to be selected by either brand on that night.
Charlotte and Bayley are both eligible to be selected on night two.
With Raw being a three-hour show, the brand will pick 41 wrestlers in the draft. SmackDown will pick 30.
