New NJCAA Wrestling Program in Thief River Falls, Minn.
Northland Community & Technical College Campus Dean, Steve Crittenden announced today that Scott DCamp has accepted the position of head men’s wrestling coach at Northland. Crittenden stated, “Scott’s experience and connections in our region will be a great benefit to our college. He is committed to seeing our program succeed and has some great ideas on how to move the program forward.”
In regards to his new position, Scott commented, “It is an honor to be named head wrestling coach at Northland Community and Technical College. I am thankful for the opportunity. This program will provide a much-needed opportunity for students in northern Minnesota and eastern North Dakota to compete in wrestling while continuing their education. We plan to build a top-notch program that will showcase the talent we have in this region.”
Crittenden added, “Our program is slated to begin competition for the 2013-2014 season. Scott will primarily spend his time this year recruiting and working on getting the program organized. We expect the program to add 20-25 students to the college. Student athletes interested in joining our program can fill out an athletic interest form on our website.”
