Michael Paris can’t seem to catch a break this year.
Paris, better known to Impact Wrestling fans as DJ Z, announced via social media on Monday that he will be taking a break from ring action to deal with a bad neck injury.
DJ Z, who was sidelined for a few months earlier this year after undergoing emergency colon surgery after working a match for the Crash independent promotion, revealed this week that he took an MRI test after working EVOLVE events over the weekend.
The MRI results showed that he is currently dealing with three ruptured discs in his neck. However unlike earlier this year, the injury DJ Z is suffering from will not require him to undergo surgery.
“Just got my MRI results,” wrote DJ Z via his official Twitter page on Monday evening. “So I wrestled my matches at [WWN EVOLVE] this weekend with 3 ruptured discs in my neck apparently.”
DJ Z continued, “Luckily no surgery needed, but will have to take a couple months off to heal. I’m sorry guys.”
