On Monday evening, former WWE Superstar Adam Rose (Raymond John Leppan) announced his official retirement from the professional wrestling business.
Leppan signed with WWE in 2010, working his way through the FCW and early NXT days before graduating to the main roster in 2014. He would end up parting ways with the company in 2016.
After parting ways with WWE, Leppan worked the independent scene as Aldo Rose for three years before deciding recently to call it a career.
He took to social media this week to formally announce his pro wrestling retirement on Monday.
“I want to announce my full time retirement from the wonderful world of professional wrestling,” wrote Rose via his official Instagram page. “It’s been one hell of a ride.”
He would go on to elaborate, explaining that he will fulfill all existing dates and bookings he currently has on his schedule, but after that, he will be stepping away from the business for good.
“I will be fullfiling all dates currently booked but not taking any more bookings going forward,” Rose wrote. “Thank you to the fans who supported me, the promoters who booked me, all the good brothers and sisters who worked with me. Mainly thank you to the [WWE] for letting a 9 year old South African boy live his dream.”
Leppan concluded, “Many blessings and so much love to all. Goodbye and thank you.”
