— WWE had intended to announce a “big match” just before Evolution tickets went on sale as a way to move the most amount of seats so the company figured that Trish Stratus vs. Alexa Bliss would serve that role as it would be a “dream match” that people would pay money to watch. However, this did not work out as well as WWE hoped as the match wasn’t viewed nearly as big as they anticipated and ticket sales actually stalled, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The hope now is that with the Ronda Rousey match announced, it will help sales.

— A U.K. title match with Rhea Ripley is also expected to be announced for Evolution but apart from that, not much is known about the rest of the card. At one point, WWE was advertising “more than 50 women” on the show, which was to include every performer under contract to the company and some legends but this may have been cut down to only those being pushed since WWE has stopped pushing the “more than 50 women” narrative on TV.
