Lillian announces the new World Heavyweight Champion – Y2J. Huge heat when she announces his name.
He comes out in his suit and tie, belt over his shoulder and huge mocking grin on his face. Huge heat as he’s in the ring. He says he’s Chris Jericho and he’s the new Champion. For those who did not see Unforgiven, let him explain if we’re confused. HUGE “You suck” chants. He says last night he faced a huge hypocrite – HBK. While he says HBK likes to turn the other cheek and be a good person, he wants to show us that this good person did last night. He takes off his jacket and tie. He undoes his shirt to a huge “HBK” chant. He takes off his shirt and showed his bruises and welts. He has a close up shown. He asks who would want to disfigure another human being? HBK. He mauled Y2J and the fans savored every minute of it. When all the pomp and circumstance went away, when it’s all over, it never happened because it was unsanctioned. So it was worth nothing. “You suck” chants. What did Y2J accomplish? This – holding up his title belt. Y2J smiles next to his belt. Six months ago he said good things happen to good people and he’s a good person. He’s a good man, a righteous man and always does what he says he’s going to do. After he received the beating from HBK he didn’t deserve he was in the locker room trying to stand up straight when Adamle came in and told him Punk was out and did he want in. Not only is he the one who beat both Austin and Rock in the same night, now he’s the one who beat Kane, Rey, Batista and JBL in one night. Now we have to respect who he is. A month ago HBK said Y2J would never beat him. He’s right, but now he’s the Champion.
Adamle comes out on the stage and congratulates Y2J. He said Punk suffered a concussion last night and was not medically cleared to compete. He needed to find a championship caliber person to compete. While Punk isn’t here tonight, he will be back next week to compete against Y2J for the title. To make sure there isn’t any interference it will take place in a Cage.
Y2J said he beat Punk in his hometown and he’ll beat him next week. If Adamle is done he’s sick of the abuse of everyone, so he’s leaving.
Adamle says since the Cage Match is next week, he needs a main event for tonight so it will be, after what happened last night, Y2J against Batista.
Y2J is pissed in the ring and yells, off mic, at Adamle.

Regal looks back at Layla and holds his arm out to her. She tentatively, and with a slightly confused look on her face, takes Regal’s arm and lets him lead her from ringside. She looks back at Jamie once before getting to the stage. Just before gorilla she lets go of Regal’s arm. He heads out back and she looks back at Jamie.

Grisham out back with Rey. He says Rey took time after Kane attacked him and does Rey know why.
Rey says he doesn’t know why Kane attacked him and left him laying in a parking lot. He doesn’t know why, but it took a lot of rehab. He then speaks in Spanish saying he’s a luchador and a Guerrero (I know yo soy means ‘I am’, then I heard luchador, another ‘yo soy’ and I heard Guerrero – so I’m going on that, but could be completely off as I have not been in a Spanish class in over 15 years). Then, back in English he tells Kane he might always be an underdog but he’s still a fighter and standing strong.

Video of Orton and Punk last night talking followed up by the attack on Punk by the three second generation stars and the third generation star.
Orton comes out to the ring without his sling. Orton touches his left collar bone after he climbs in the ring. He grabs a mic and gets huge heat from the fans as his mic doesn’t work. He keeps talking at first. They fix it and he starts over. He says it’s no worse feeling knowing the championship is in your grasp but tragedy hits and you can’t compete. He’s not talking about Punk, but himself. Months ago he broke his collar bone against HHH leaving him unable to compete. Unlike Punk, Orton won his title at WM. Punk lucked into it. Punk was taken out by a one armed man last night. He spoke to Adamle about it today saying he was worried about his safety, that’s why he did it. He said Punk should thank Orton for taking him out or her would have been beaten over and over in the Scramble. Y2J should also thank him, but he will be coming after Y2J and taking back his title.
Music hits and out comes Cody, Ted and Manu. Cole and King are still talking like they do not know who this new guy is.
Cody says Orton needs to check his facts. They took Punk apart and beat him down, setting Orton up to kick Punk’s face off. They also took Kofi apart when he got involved. Orton needed them last night.
Manu says that Orton’s isn’t the only one with a HOF father. Manu says who his father is, so everyone now knows who he is. But his words dripped disdain for Orton, the same way Cody’s did.
Ted said, with the same disdain, that what Orton did last night was impressive, but… Orton slapped the taste out of Ted’s mouth, dropping him to the mat before quickly leaving the ring.
Orton glared at the younger three as he backed up the ramp.
