Raw on Monday bounced back from last week’s low point, averaging 1.81 million viewers and drawing a 0.57 rating in the 18-49 demo.
The numbers were up six percent in viewers and 16 percent in 18-49 but stayed even with last week in the 18-34 demo.
Raw was first for the night in 18-49, sixth in women 18-49, first in men 18-49, second in 18-34, fourth in females 12-34, and first in males 12-34. The show had little competition from men as the highest rated sports show on television was a college basketball game that averaged 636,000 viewers and drew a 0.15 rating in 18-49.
Raw was 12th in overall viewers, trailing 11 news shows. That is the best overall Raw has done in a long time, and speaks for news numbers being much lower than they have been typically on Monday.
As compared to the same President’s Day Raw last year, the show was down 28 percent in viewers, 28 percent in 18-49, and 53 percent in 18-34.
Even with the gauntlet match involving six of the biggest stars on the brand (WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who was in most of the way, AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, and Sheamus), it didn’t prevent the usual third-hour drop.
As far as where the drop in viewers during the show came from, women 18-49 dropped 17 percent, which isn’t good, but held up better than the prior two weeks. Men 18-49 dropped eight percent, which means it held up better than usual. Teenage girls dropped 49 percent, which was way above usual levels. Teenage boys, which had held up great in recent weeks, dropped 26 percent, so in particular this week did far worse than usual in keeping teenagers. Over 50 dropped a normal 11 percent.
