As you’ve probably heard by now, a spot gone wrong landed Eddie Edwards in the hospital with a broken nose and orbital bone, after Sami Callihan accidentally blasted him in the face with a baseball bat. TMZ has now picked up on the incident and actually interviewed Edwards on “TMZ Sports” about his experience, which as you can imagine was not pleasant.

The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion said that he was originally afraid that he might lose his eye, stating, “my fear was when I pulled my hand down, my eyeball’s gonna be hanging out.” Luckily that didn’t happen, but Edwards did lose a significant amount of blood and doctors told him he’s extremely lucky there wasn’t permanent damage done to his vision.

As we previously reported, the always controversial Jim Cornette lashed out at Sami Callihan after seeing the spot, accusing the world-traveling wrestler of being reckless in the ring. The self-proclaimed “Callihan Death Machine” used TMZ to cut an unapologetic promo, cutting down the fans, Edwards and Jim Cornette all in one fell swoop. Check out the video below.
