MUNSTER CENTRE FRANCIS Saili has been cleared of any wrongdoing by a disciplinary panel after being cited for an alleged illegal high tackle in the win at Ospreys last weekend.

The 26-year-old Kiwi will be available to face Scarlets this weekend after the committee found his tackle on Ashley Beck in the 51st minute of the province’s narrow 25-23 victory didn’t warrant a red card.

“The Disciplinary Panel was made up of Kathrine Mackie (Chair), Roddy Dunlop and Robert Milligan (Scotland) while the player appeared by video link along with his team manager and a legal representative for the club,” a Pro12 statement read.

“The Panel did find an act of foul play had been committed, however, the Panel was satisfied that it did not pass the red card test. Therefore, the player is free to play this weekend.”

Munster welcome Scarlets to Thomond Park this Friday [KO 7.35pm] with the southern province currently setting the pace in the Pro12, three points ahead of Leinster.
