Olympique Lyonnais have confirmed the signing of Moroccan U20 trialist Achraf Laaziri (20) on a four-year deal from Fath Union Sport (FUS) de Rabat.
Left-back Laaziri spent three weeks of last season on trial at Lyon from FUS Rabat, who have been a partner club of the Ligue 1 side since 2019. The Moroccan U20 international, born in 2003, is considered one of the best youth products of the Moroccan side, having joined in 2017.
In a press release, Lyon praised the continued collaboration with FUS Rabat, stating, “This cooperation with one of the most historic Moroccan clubs has led today to the signing of the first young Moroccan player. Lyon celebrates this signing and will continue its privileged exchanges with FUS, based on the sharing of experience and the optimisation of its academy model.”
It is expected that Laaziri will join Lyon’s reserve side for the upcoming season.
