As reported by Santi Aouna, Hugo Ekitike’s (19) price tag has risen since Newcastle agreed a €35 million deal in January. Subsequently, both AC and Inter Milan are out of the running for the Reims striker.

Aouna revealed that Reims would reject any offers of €20 million, highlighting the fact that his value has risen since January despite a lack of playing time due to injury. This inflated figure is the result of increased competition for his signature.

As a result, neither Milan club can financially compete with Newcastle and PSG. Newcastle had agreed a deal with Reims before Ekitike turned them down, whilst the young French striker is reported to be a target of incoming PSG sporting director Luis Campos.
