L’Équipe report that local authorities have made an arrest in connection with the Marseille team bus being attacked last night, on an evening in which OM prevailed over Toulouse 2-0 in Ligue 1.
Before the match, projectiles were thrown at OM’s bus as it reached the stadium. A side window, that of the bus driver, was damaged, according to police.
A policeman riding a motorbike was also targeted by a firecracker, but was unharmed. Firecrackers were also set off inside the stadium and one gate in the away section was damaged by OM fans.
The individual arrested was a 22-year-old Toulouse supporter, already known by police for committing similar crimes in the past. Drunk at the time the events unfolded. He has been arrested for use of rocket or fireworks in a sports arena.
