Former England international Matt Kvesic has been snapped up by United Rugby Championship side Zebre Parma after he was released by Worcester Warriors.
The 30-year-old links up with the Italian side as he follows several of his former Worcester team-mates in finding new clubs after a traumatic period.
Kvesic therefore swaps the Premiership for the URC and will look to hit the ground running when the campaign resumes next weekend with a game at Ulster.
Shrewd move from Zebre Parma
The back-row has been a consistent player for Gloucester, Exeter and Worcester and is a shrewd acquisition from Zebre Parma as they look to improve.
He has won four England caps during his career, with his debut coming against Argentina in 2013, while his most recent cap came in 2019, against Italy.
Currently the Parma outfit are sitting bottom of the URC standings with a record of seven losses from seven so Kvesic will hope to improve their form.
There is also news of another former Worcester player being snapped up after back-row Cameron Neild was signed by Glasgow Warriors in Scotland.
The 28-year-old ex-Sale Sharks flanker joined Worcester in the summer and captained his new club on the opening day of the Premiership campaign.
The Manchester-born player is free to switch to URC outfit Glasgow after Worcester were partially liquidated and relegated from England’s top flight.
Neild puts pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season and will add depth to Glasgow’s back-row amid injuries to Rory Darge and Tom Gordon.

“My goal now is to get back out on the pitch, play some good rugby and win some rugby matches.”
