ESTAC Troyes have completed the signing of midfielder François Bellugou from Lorient for an undisclosed fee, with the Frenchman signing a two-year deal.
The 30-year-old featured 26 times for Lorient last season, and signs for the team that replaced FCL in Ligue 1 after their win in the relegation play-offs.
Bellugou issued an emotional statement for the fans of Lorient upon his departure, saying, “Lorient allowed me to discover Ligue 1. For this I would like to thank the President, the leaders, the employees, my teammates and the supporters. I would have preferred to leave in other circumstances but I am convinced that the club will return to the elite in the near future.”
