Anyone who doesn't think 2024 was The Year of the Bob hasn't been paying attention. Celebrities have been making chin-length chops all year; just look at Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Sydney Sweeney, and Gigi Hadid. There are only so many ways to style a bob, and the stars have demonstrated most of them, inspiring us to go wavy, flippy, slicked back—you name it. But one version we haven't really seen yet is a locs bob. Thankfully, Chlöe Bailey heard the call.

The singer posted a selfie video to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, November 13, looking adorable as per usual. What wasn't usual though was her hair. While sitting in a car, she showed off a side-parted bob, her locs bouncing as she modeled different angles. She even asked her followers, “Like my hair like this?” using Instagram's Questions feature.

It's a huge change, even for someone who regularly switches up their look in major ways. Just last month, she wore a fluffy, gravity-defying updo that let her locs peek out at the base of the style. And who can forget March's jumbo, waist-length braids? So many of her 2024 styles have showcased gorgeous, super-long extensions, but it looks like she's ready to let her natural hair shine in the length of the year.

Surely, some opinionated fans will fill in the blank with incredulous disapproval, but we'll be letting Bailey know that she's looking fabulous as the latest member of the celebrity bob club.
