According to our colleagues at L’Équipe, Manchester United are interested in signing French right-back Mathieu Debuchy before the transfer window closes.
Manchester United have been hit with a full-back injury crisis and the player sees the Red Devils as a perfect opportunity to receive good quality playing time, the type that would impress Didier Deschamps to the point where Debuchy might get a look in at France’s EURO 2016 squad.
Arsenal are apparently not interested in loaning the player to Manchester United, but might be persuaded to do a deal if it is on a permanent basis.
Aston Villa and Sunderland continue to follow the player in the final hours of the window. More undoubtedly to follow.
