It has been confirmed by the club and the player that Corentin Tolisso (27) will leave Bayern Munich upon the expiry of his contract, having spent five years at the German club.
Tolisso tweeted, “A new page is turned… a big thank you for these five beautiful years, which brought me so much on a sporting and personal level.”
A press release from the club also thanked the French midfielder “for five successful years together.” The statement added, “he never let himself be knocked off course even in difficult phases and always gave everything for the club.”
Tolisso made 118 appearances for the reigning German championships, winning five Bundesliga titles, two DFB Cups, and one DFL Supercup. He also won the Champions League, the Club World Cup, and the European Super Cup.
It is unclear where he will go next, although he has previously been linked with a return to Lyon.
