Pep Guardiola has dismissed speculation that winger Riyad Mahrez could quit Manchester City this summer.

Reports have suggested the £60million Algeria star is unhappy with the playing time he has been given since becoming City’s record purchase last year.

The 28-year-old has started only 13 Premier League games this term but Guardiola insists the winger knows how much he is valued.

Guardiola said: “Riyad Mahrez will be with us next season and the next one, and the next one.

“I don’t need to speak with him. He knows we are happy with him.”

Guardiola also offered an update over Kevin De Bruyne’s availability for the Manchester derby.
