Liverpool are already looking ahead to the summer transfer window with no further transfers expected in January, according to reports.

The Red have already brought in Takumi Minamino for £7.25million from Red Bull Salzburg, while they also landed Brentford youngster Joe Hardy.

And Goal expects that to be the last of their January activity as they turn ‘their attention to their summer activity with longer-term targets’.

The report in Goal goes on to name five players that appear on Liverpool‘s ‘transfer target list’ as they plot summer arrivals.

Sevilla’s Diego Carlos, Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey, Wigan’s Joe Gelhardt and Brescia’s Sandro Tonali are all named.

Recent reports indicated that Liverpool would be willing to activate Carlos’ release clause in order to bring him to Anfield from Sevilla, with the centre-back impressing in LaLiga.

Goal says Liverpool have been ‘impressed’ with Carlos but face competition from Real Madrid as both clubs eye up his £64m release clause.

Interest from Premier League clubs in Sancho is well known with Manchester United and Chelsea among his potential suitors, however the report says ‘the opportunity to work under’ Jurgen Klopp could give Liverpool an advantage.

An ‘alternative option’ to Sancho would be Leverkusen winger Bailey as Liverpool look to add depth to their squad.

The report adds that young Wigan forward Gelhardt is being ‘watched’ and that Brescia midfielder Tonali is also on their radar.
