Bakary Sako has rejoined Crystal Palace until the end of the season, the Premier League club have announced.

Attacking midfielder Sako, 30, made 50 appearances for Palace during three seasons with the club before joining West Brom in October 2018.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson said: “I’m delighted that we’ve managed to bring Bakary back to Palace. He’s a player with a huge amount of talent and as he showed when he was fully fit last year, he is able to provide a boost to our attacking options.

“It’s a particularly pleasing signing because as well as his ability, he knows the club inside out and was such an immensely popular figure amongst the squad with his positive and upbeat attitude.

“I hope his return will be a major boost as we enter the business end of the season.”

Tottenham made seven changes for their FA Cup fourth-round clash at Crystal Palace.

Fernando Llorente was handed another start in attack while Georges-Kevin Nkoudou was named in Spurs’ starting XI for the first time since January 2017.

Ben Davies and Moussa Sissoko missed out through injury.

Connor Wickham started up front for Crystal Palace but there were no places in the squad for new signings Lucas Perri or Bakary Sako.
