Michael Owen thinks Liverpool will come back from Spain with a draw in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash with Atletico Madrid.
Liverpool are back at the scene of last year’s final success, the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, as they face Atletico in the first leg of their last-16 tie.
Atletico, who finished second in LaLiga last season, are enduring a difficult campaign this time around – in contrast to Liverpool’s runaway form in the Premier League.

Diego Simeone’s men, who suffered a humbling Copa del Rey loss to third division Cultural Leonesa last month, have failed to mount a challenge this year and are fourth after one win in their last five.
Nevertheless, former Liverpool striker Owen is predicting a score draw on Tuesday night.
Owen told Bet Victor (via Daily Mirror): “Atletico Madrid v Liverpool 1-1
“Liverpool have an almost fully fit squad available for their return to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium where they famously lifted their sixth European Cup/Champions League back in June.
“Atleti have their fair share of injuries to contend with, but Diego Simeone’s side are a handful for anyone on home soil and they are unbeaten in their last 13 home Champions League knockout ties.
“The Reds were not at their best at Carrow Road on Saturday but, once again, they found a way to pick up maximum points.
“A draw wouldn’t be the worst result to take back to Anfield for the second leg and I think it will be honours even in the Spanish capital.”
