Alberto El Patron has seemingly had a falling out with Lucha Libre promotion AAA. He had been scheduled to compete on the TripleMania show coming up, but it was recently confirmed that Alberto pulled out of the planned appearance and will not be featured on the show. While discussing the incident in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that AAA has not been too keen on using Alberto ever since he no-showed the AAA vs. Impact Wrestling event earlier this year, which also contributed to his release from Impact earlier this year. AAA’s Dorian Roldan has since backed up this claim, but Alberto originally claimed that the sudden change of plans was because Roldan would not pay him enough to compete on the show.
There have been several rumors and reports made over the past few weeks that have claimed that WWE has taken an interest in signing Pentagon Jr and Fenix as soon as they become free agents. Both brothers reportedly have an out clause in the Lucha Underground deals after the current season ends, and they haev also supposedly told promoters that certain dates in 2019 are in question. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, is was mentioned that the Lucha Brothers are now no longer taking any independent dates in 2019, which could be a sign that they will be moving over to WWE soon enough. Two of the biggest Lucha Libre stars in the world today could be on the way to WWE within the next few months.
Who has not seen the infamous promo of Scott Steiner talking about his chances of winning a Triple Threat match at TNA’s Sacrifice show in 2008 using exact mathematical statistics. It has become so iconic and beloved by wrestling fans over the years for its lunacy, and even fast food chain Wendy’s is aware of Steiner’s promo. After a meme featuring Samoa Joe (who Steiner originally directed much of the promo towards) was posted on Twitter, Wendy’s responded by laying out the entire transcript of the segment. It was definitely an amusing exchange from a fast food company that has already proven on a few other occasions that they are up to date on all of their wrestling knowledge and trivia.

You know they say that all burgers are created equal, but you look at a Baconator and you look at Frozen Beef and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another cheeseburger, you got a 50/50 chance of winning.

But we’ve got never frozen beef and that’s not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at beat us. Then you add Jr Bacon Cheeseburger to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down. See the drive thru at lunch time, you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning,
— Wendy’s (@Wendys) August 23, 2018

but we, we got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, because the king KNOWS he can’t beat us and he’s not even gonna try!°So frozen beef, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus our 25% chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning at lunch time. But then you take our 75% chance of winning
— Wendy’s (@Wendys) August 23, 2018

if we was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, we got 141 2/3 chance of winning at lunch. See Joe, the numbers don’t lie, and they spell deliciousness for you at Lunch time.
