It was recently reported that Big Cass was reportedly released due to his personal conduct backstage with two incidents being documented – one where he broke down the door to a bus and then another when he deliberately disobeyed a directive by WWE producers and Vince McMahon himself.
Another incident was recently shared by Mike Johnson of PWInsider who stated that a fan wrote to him saying that Cass spat in front of fans at a WWE Live Event in Waco, TX on June 2nd before screaming at the producers. Johnson adds that Cass was said to be a little bit “immature” at times and rubbed people the wrong way – not to the extent that Enzo Amore did – but enough that he was not able to recover from it.
In a related note to his release, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live stated that Cass was not fired in front of the roster as some online rumors seemed to suggest (likely after the news leaked that Vince McMahon held a meeting before Smackdown). Cass was apparently told of his release on Monday evening, but the other wrestlers found out on Tuesday during the Vince meeting.
