— After last Tuesday’s Smackdown, WWE management approached several talent whose contracts were coming up for expiration asking them to re-sign new long term deals, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The catalyst for this was Dean Ambrose telling the promotion that he wasn’t interested in signing another contract extension which has prompted officials to try and “quell” the talk of people wanting out. They have also promised a major focus on the tag team division, while also giving guys who are unhappy pushes and overall upping the pay of anyone who re-signs.
— One of the key talent that WWE is looking to re-sign are the Usos, whose contracts are coming up due in April of this year. The Usos would likely be a strong target for All Elite Wrestling given they would make natural opponents for the Young Bucks.
